February has kickstarted with our Steps 4 Strays fundraiser. We’re walking 4million steps in four weeks raising money for Wonky Pets Rescue. After week one, we’ve tallied up more than 1.1 million steps! Well done to all the team and thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Keep up to date with our efforts on Facebook and Instagram.

The dogs have all been on their best behaviour this week, too, to help us with our steps of course. Here are our Wonderpups…

Tracey’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Bruno aka Smiler. Bruno was a rescue, who is now in his furever home. He is always super, super excited to see me and sings his happy song from home to the fields. He is such a funny lad and constantly smiles. Bruno loves to see all his friends on his walk and always instigates play with everyone. He loves his bench, it’s not the naughty bench, it’s the treat bench. He sees it and he’s off and straight up and waits patiently for the gang to catch up. Bruno you are a pleasure to walk and make me laugh with your daft antics and hide and seek games

Adam’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup for the week is Parker. He is such a great character, happy to walk along with the group and see what they are up to, or hang back and just have a bit of a chill and a scratch behind his ears while he watches the others. He always behaves so well once he’s in the car and is always so well behaved when out and about as well.

Elli’s Wonderpup

Tilly is the liveliest bounciest girl going, of course she is my Wonderpup. I love walking Tilly. She is always absolutely buzzing to see me and getting to the car from the front door is a military operation as she is so excited! Tilly gets along with all other dogs – ensuring she gives them a great welcome with lots of kisses. I love walking you Tills, thanks for always being such a good girl.

Jess’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Buster. Whilst I have been marching up and down the fields trying to make sure I get my steps up, Buster has made sure he has stayed by my side and walked his little heart out! Despite being 8 years old, he is as fit as a fiddle and even though he dropped behind at some points he made sure he never cut any corners! I am so, so proud of him this week and he definitely deserves the title Wonderpup for his efforts!

Chloe’s Wonderpup

Ty is my Wonderpup this week for a couple of reasons. This boy is so playful I have never had a walk without him putting a smile on my face and making me laugh. Whether it be from playing in the water or jumping up and plucking his own stick from the trees! He is beyond polite and exceptionally loyal. I can walk him anywhere with any dogs and know he won’t stray from my side… unless play of course. I adore having him out he really is a diamond. Well done Ty!

Soph’s Wonderpup

Winston the Wonderpup…it’s got a whistle to it! This cool dude started with us the end of last year and what an impression he has made on us! Winston never puts a paw out of place, he’s super playful and creates so much fun the entire walk. He’s a happy chappy with bags of energy and I love watching him spring around the fields, carefree, playing and chasing his friends. Well done Winston, keep bringing the fun!

Chloe2’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup for this week is Poppy. When I first met her for her puppy socialising, she was very timid but in only a few short sessions, she has transformed into a wonderfully confident girl! She is never any trouble, stays close but also runs around crazy with the other pups! Love to see how happy she is every week.

Anna’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Nancy. In the last few weeks I have started to see more and more of Nancy’s playful side. She is engaging more in playing with others and loves to be surrounded by her friends. She always makes sure her little sister Lottie is ok and having a good time. They are both lovely girls that every week welcome me at the door with big smiles and wagging tails. I love seeing them so excited for their walk .

Ashleigh’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is cherry. She’s always so excited for her walks. She has fabulous recall, I can confidentially let her off lead to play with all her friends and she always comes straight back to me. Cherry loves playing with her pals and running round like a crazy thing the whole duration of the walk. She loves a cuddle, and getting curled up in the car in a towel on her way home. Cherry has so much personality for a small girl! Well done Cherry, we love you!
