We’ve teased it a couple of times, but we’ve got some exciting news that we have been slogging away, transforming one of our old barns into a brand-new Canine Hydrotherapy Suite 😍. It’s on track to open to the public by the end of February!

In between learning how to build, carpentry, laying floors, and everything else, Luke has been grafting his butt off to become a fully qualified Small Animal Hydrotherapist. He’s absolutely itching to start working his magic on some of our beloved fur babies who need water rehab!

I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Luke for making this dream a reality!

Dog hydrotherapy provides a wide range of benefits for dogs recovering from injuries, managing chronic conditions, or staying active as they age.

The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints and muscles, making it an ideal low-impact exercise for dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia, or post-surgical recovery needs. The resistance of water helps build strength, improve muscle tone, and enhance cardiovascular health while minimising the risk of injury.

Hydrotherapy can also aid in weight management for overweight dogs and boost overall mobility and flexibility. Beyond the physical benefits, the warm water used in most hydrotherapy sessions promotes relaxation, reducing stress and improving mental well-being. It’s a therapeutic and enjoyable way to enhance your dog’s quality of life.
