Week three of our Steps 4 Strays challenge is complete, and our legs and feet are definitely feeling the burn. We have one week left to reach the grand total of 4 million steps in March and raise money for Wonky Pets Rescue. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and thank you to each of the RDW Team for walking their little hearts out!

The dogs have of course been a huge part of the challenge. Everyone has been on their best behaviour strutting along with us to get our daily steps in. As always, remember to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for our daily photos and updates!

Here’s our weekly Wonderpups…

Tracey’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week, is the wonderful, laid back, take everything in his stride, Howard. Howard is always ready and waiting for his walks. He has a little chatter when I pick him up and then it’s straight to the car. Howard travels really well, and let’s anyone and everyone share his crate. He likes nothing more than sticking his nose to the ground and doing his own thing. Howard’s recall is 100% in his own time. Be it 5 mins or 10. He will always come back eventually. Howard, you really are a good boy, and it’s a pleasure to walk you. Just keep on being you!

Adam’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup for the week is Zeus. We’ve been out together 3 times this week and his energy and enthusiasm on each of the walks have really made my working week. He has made me laugh every time I have dropped him off. When we get back, he stops next to the treats on the bench at home and then stands in the kitchen doorway until I give him his second treat. He’s a fun loving guy who is a pleasure to walk. Well done Zeus!

Jess’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Neville. Nev is such a good boy, I often find myself wondering where he is and then looking down and remembering he is such a sweetheart that he is never far from my feet! His recall is perfect, he loves his friends Oscar and Buster and is always trying to get them to play and run around with him! He never gives me any reason to worry! Thank you for always making my Monday mornings stress free Nev.

Anna’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Milo. Milo is a very happy, full of energy and constantly wagging his tail boy that loves his walks and play dates with his friends. I can often see him in his living room window waiting patiently for my arrival and when he sees me parking he runs to the door to welcome me there. It’s the sweetest thing. Milo is always on his best behaviour and never puts a paw wrong. I’m very proud of you Milo.

Ashleigh’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Rumple. Rumple is consistently a loving boy who loves to nothing more than to play with his ball. He is king of recall and obedience and is always so well behaved. He was such a star on Friday’s walk, in and out of the stream, he played beautifully with his fellow doggies and and he always makes me proud. Keep up the good work lovely boy!

Chloe’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Buster. He is such a bouncy boy full of so much spirit. Buster never stops running around yet you never have to worry about where he is running to, as he will always come back and check in. You can’t help but feed of his energy and loving character. It’s so lovely to have him by your side as a fellow partner in crime. Thanks for being such a caring, free spirited soul Buster!

Chloe2’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Bobby! He is always so excited to come out on his puppy socialising sessions and has made such an improvement already. This week I moved him up to a more playful group and he loved it! Always love his happy face zooming around! Keep it up Bobs.

Soph’s Wonderpup

Luna the Wonderpup! My little shorty recently joined us in January and I am so impressed with her progress so far! Luna was confident from the off but was unsure of the other puppers. On her first session Luna wasn’t happy with dogs in her personal spac,e but since then she is now learning social cues. She is interacting with others and has become besties with Tilly Pom. Luna has come on leaps and bounds and is enjoying socialising with her new buddies. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her playful side shine through. Well done Luna, super proud of you!

Elli’s Wonderpup

Fred has been coming out with me twice a week for a while now and I’m really pleased with how he’s getting on. Initially, Fred would rather hang by my feet, have a sniff and not get too involved. Lately, Fred has been playing a little more with his fellow furry friends and zooming around! He’s always soooo happy to see me, running straight to the car, and his recall is spot on. Well done Freddy Froo!
