We know how much your fur-babies mean to you and what a huge part they have in our lives.
With this in mind, as a nation we are wanting to spend more and more time with our four legged friends – we would take them everywhere with us if we could, right?!

Well, have we got some news for you! It is 2023 and times are changing. We seem to be, as a nation, in a new dog-friendly-era with new venues popping up here, there and everywhere that are more excited to welcome your dog than they are you – not that we can blame them!

We thought it would be super helpful to put together a short list of local places you can go with your pooch – from a spot for a quick coffee & cake, to a pub lunch or a pint and pawsecco! Have a nose at our favourite places 🥰

  • The Hart – Headless Cross
The Hart (Formerly The White Hart) has had an extensive refurb and will be unrecognisable to most! It is now voted the “Best Pub in Worcestershire” and we think it deserves this title! The whole venue is totally doggy friendly – bar, dining area and outside! The team in there will definitely pay more attention to making sure your dog is fed and watered before turning to pour you your favourite tipple. These guys have a fab “doggy bar” loaded with treats for the “good bois & girls” and fresh water to boot. They also have a great “dog wall” – they will capture a picture of you and your pooch and print it for their display.

  • The Brook – Elcocks Brook
The Brook is another older venue that has been flipped on its head. Now a quirky country-feel pub with banging food and dog friendly. There are some lovely walking spots on the doorstep, and what better way to finish off a weekend stroll than a good pint with your best pal?!

  • Bramley Cottage – Callow Hill
This one shows times are changing! Owned and operated by M&B, even these guys allow pooches into their venue for a good bit of value pub-grub! Lovely little spot to visit after a stroll around Morton Stanley with your four-legged pals! They also have a pretty extensive beer garden for those warmer days…who are we kidding, this is England!

  • The Tardebigge – Tardebigge
Most of you will remember this place as a Wacky Warehouse – sticky tables/floors and chaos everywhere! In fact, depending on how old you are, you may even remember this as “the place to go dancing” back in its Ballroom days…now there’s a blast from the past! Taken over by the GoodHostGroup, brother/sister combo Frankie & Patrick have transformed this beautiful building back into a fantastically well presented venue that is a real part of the local community. They have a sperate bar/restaurant area and a courtyard-style beer garden (with covered seating and heaters!). Our canine companions are welcome in the bar area and of course outside. These guys are serving up great grub every day and always have something going on that will make you stay for that extra pint! Fantastic walks on the doorstep heading down to the reservoir and canal will get you ready for a well deserved rest in a bit of class.

  • Queens Head – Stoke Pound
This leads us nicely on to our next spot – the old Queens Head! Renovated a while back now by Lovely Pubs this is their flagship site. Situated right on the edge of the canal, these guys are open mid morning for your coffee & cake fix in their beautifully presented beer garden or bar. There are always treats available for your little friend too! These guys are cooking up fresh wood-fired pizzas on the daily and take great pride in cooking the majority of their menu from scratch, in-house! In fact, we may recommend on a dry day walking from Tardebigge – down the canal to the Queens Head. What better way to balance out the exercise than with a great dog-friendly pub at the start and finish!

  • The Boot – Mappleborough Green
Another cosy “country pub” on the outskirts of Redditch. Again, owned and operated by the infamous M&B, this venue is dog-friendly in their cosy bar area and outside. These guys serve food throughout their venue and pour a decent pint. Their cosy armchairs and warm country feel will leave you and your pup dozing off in front of the fire – make sure you don’t spill that pint!

  • Bumbles – Studley
This local, independent coffee house has not long re-opened under new ownership. They are totally dog friendly and your baby can enjoy one of their delicious puppacino’s! Serving local produce, freshly brewed coffee and homemade cakes there is something for everyone. If you have enjoyed one of the many walks around Studley then we deffo recommend stopping by here for your caffeine fix and a piece of cake! Their Vegan Cakes are absolutely to die for – you wouldn’t know they are totally guilt free! Yum Yum!

  • The Moat House – Alcester
This place is owned and operated the very same as the Queens Head – Stoke Pound and is their sister venue – great little spot with a peaceful garden that would not have you believe you were on the outskirts of town on a sunny day – worth a visit!

These guys have got all bases covered

  • The Why Not – Astwood Bank
Another fabulous little country style pub situated on the Ridgeway in Astwood Bank. This place has definitely changed over the last 5 years – and for the better we would say! It’s cosy bar area is totally dog friendly and so is the fantastic beer garden. The tables (outside particularly) are well spaced so you don’t have to feel like you need to watch your doggies every move. They offer wonderfully cooked food and a fantastic range of drinks to boot! Pull in next time your passing, you won’t regret it!

  • Bruno’s – Studley
This modern bakery on Studley High Street will not disappoint. It’s contemporary feel and chilled out vibe will help you relax. These guys obviously know what they are doing as they are always veryyy busy – but the freshly baked pastries and breakfast’s are worth the wait. They also have a lovely mezzanine level and 1st floor balcony area (for when the sun puts his hat on!) which you are able to book our for larger, private functions. How great is it to have a dog friendly venue right on the doorstep?!

  • TOAST – FLyford
TOAST is situated at The Flyford (Previously Flyford Arms) near Worcester. Ok ok, so it isn’t right on the doorstep, but so what? It’s well known that us Brits enjoy a little tootle out in the motor-vehicle on a Sunday morning. TOAST is surrounded with picturesque walks to enjoy with your little Fido and they will definitely be ready to welcome your worn out legs on arrival. Your pup will probably be greeted wit ha puppacino before you have been acknowledged! Now, these guys do get very busy so we deffo recommend booking – you can book to be inside the main building or inside their converted American School Bus – so rad! They are more or a “breakfast or brunch” kinda vibe with some mega tasty pancakes on the side. Check them out!
