Whether or not your dog is carrying a few extra pounds, exercise walks are essential.
Let your dogs run! Whether that’s off lead, in a secure field or running with you on lead, it’s a great way to get that extra energy out and keep them healthy. It’s also fun for you and great for our mental health!

The mental stimulation that a dog gets on a slow walk with lots of sniffing is even better than that of a long or fast walk.
It’s easy to do, let them take the lead. Don’t go out with a set route, let them take your where their nose leads them (within reason, maybe not the chip shop!).

No matter how long you’ve been a dog owner, or how old your dog is, they all need a refresher sometimes!
Refreshing all those basic training moves, 𝑠𝑖𝑡, 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑦, 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒, etc is great stimulation for them, especially if you’re strapped for time, this will tire them out and do some good in the long run!
Reward them with their favourite toy, a few treats or a good run off lead for their hard work.
