So Wednesday it was my Birthday and thats what is excellent about being a Dog Walker, I actually get to see all these gorgeous dogs faces on my Birthday!! I did ask them not to go too over the dog but the decided to wear dog party hats on our dog walks so what is a Dog Walker to do? Its my job to keep them happy and its thats what they want, thats what they get!
I am seriously considering my name from Redditch Dog Walking to Redditch Dog Swimming at the moment – although not sure I am as qualified to become a Dog Swimming instructor from a Dog Walker. We are spending more time in water than out of it at the moment due to the lovely weather we are having in Redditch, including me when I have to scramble into the water to go get naughty dogs who won’t come out of Coughton Ford cough *Parker* cough.
We started with an eventful dog walk this morningup Astwood Bank with Buster, Cleo, Barkley, Max and we were joined by Ted and his Mom for some doggie socialising. Ted some how managed get deep into the bushes and get tangled up with his dog training long line meaning his poor mom had to scramble through and rescue him! Of course being the kind Dog Walker I am I went in to help her, after standing there laughing for a couple of minutes! When she finally got out she was covered in twigs making a very entertaining dog walk for me
?.
Next Redditch Dog Walk was Max, Max, Alan and Lola who headed out to Forge Mill in Redditch, we went down to the water as the majority of the crew are total water babies and much to my surprise Alan dived in (obviously thinking it was a lot shallower than it was) it was the first time I have seen him properly get wet and splash around and he was loving life!! He is getting better and better with other dogs on every dog walk and I am so, so proud of him – its just shows dog training pays off. One very proud dog walker.
Finally our last Birthday dog walk was with Arlo, Parker, Minnie and Lexi who came with me down to Coughton Ford! It’s so nice and shaded round there with areas to paddle and swim it’s definitely one of my favourite dog walks in the summer. Minnie is getting so much more confident in the water, Lexi is like her little life guard! So sweet how they bring out each other’s confidence in different areas. So glad they have become besties, a fabulous start to this dog walkers birthday!
