Tonight we had a training session with Ronnie, who came with his Mom due to showing some reactive behaviour towards other dogs, as always Max’s calming influence took over and as soon as Ronnie was off the lead he ran over to start playing in the typical “bull in a china shop” frenchie way!

Ronnie showed no aggression towards Max or any other dogs on the walk he was just very reactive in a loud “look at me” way, once he was allowed a bit of freedom on the long line he passed all the dogs calmly and quietly!

We put together a training plan which consists of teaching Ronnie calm behaviours that start before he even get out the house, giving him sniffing walks every so often, allowing him to have fun and enjoy his walks without getting so anxious and wound up and of course clicker training him when passing other dogs!

Thank you very much to Freddie and his Mom and Dad who we bumped into whilst we were out so I took full advantage to show Ronnies Mom just when the clicker needs to be used ?!

Keep up the good work Ronnie, show your Mom what you’re capable ?!
