Happy Valentine’s Day! We would normally dress the babies up and share some pics of the pups looking pretty, but our step challenge combined with the freeeeezing cold has meant we just haven’t had the chance.
HOWEVER, the good news for you is that we’re running a Valentine’s giveaway over on our Facebook. Enter now and win a bundle of RDW goodies!
We’re half way through our step challenge and have surpassed our target so far with a whopping 2,237,273 steps! We’ve got to get to 4 million by the end of the month. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to our fundraiser so far. We’re raising money for the incredible Wonky Pets Rescue.
Now, onto our weekly Wonderpups and the pups that have shown us the love this week…
Tracey’s Wonderpup

My wonderful Wonderpup this week is Bella. Bella is new to the RDW family, I have only been walking her for a few weeks, but she’s fitted in straight away. Bella is a rescue, who hadn’t been socialised with other dogs, so her owners were unsure how she would react on walks. At RDW, we pride ourselves in taking time to introduce dogs to the right groups. Bella hasn’t been phased by any of the groups she has been placed with and just loves to run, in typical Husky style. She travels well in the car and loves meeting new friends. Well done Bella, you have done so well in such a short period of time!
Soph’s Wonderpup

Lulu and Molly are my Wonderpup Duo! Lulu and Molly aka ‘The twins’ are our pretty girls with pristine coats (at the start of the walk that is). I love that they are always so excited to see their friends, they can’t wait to get out of the car to play. The duo are typical girls, loud and very chatty but they also love to roll around nose diving to the floor, having so much fun until they are covered from whisker to tail in mud! I love having the girls for their weekly walks, such friendly puppa’s and always so well behaved!
Adam’s Wonderpup

I’m going to cheat a little this week and pick two dogs. I walked Meg and Max for the first time this week and they made a huge first impression on me! They were a pleasure to walk, always listening and happily joining in with the group and their games. You can’t help but smile as you watch them enjoy their walks and have lots of fun!
Elli’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week has to be lovely Lulu! Lulu was a little nervous of big groups the last time I took her out. She wasn’t interested in playing or zooming around too much. The last few weeks however she’s been coming out with my Wednesday morning gang and has absolutely LOVED seeing her friends. Lulu was zooming around, sniffing out scents, playing with some of the others and even when we saw Soph’s gang, she was initiating playtime with dogs she’d never even met before. Well done Lulu, it is always a pleasure to walk you.
Anna’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Bailey. The past week he has showed me a completely different side of himself. When I first started to take Bailey for walks he was very shy, timid around other dogs and wouldn’t leave my side. Over the past few months he has been getting braver and braver and started to mingle with other dogs a lot more. Last week, he was the one initiating playtime and I loved seeing him playing so much. I’m very proud of you Bailey keep up the good work!
Jess’s Wonderpup

My wonderful Wonderpup this week is Teddy, I am sooooo proud of this little floof! When I first met Teddy, he was a training client who was reactive towards other dogs and hadn’t been let off the lead as his recall wasn’t great! These days he is the most sociable pupper who loves everyone, especially his bestie Finn. Teddy had his first week long line free this week and his recall is AMAZING. I am so pleased with how well he is getting on in his group walks, he is a little superstar!
Ashleigh’s Wonderpup

My Valentine’s Wonderpup is Loki. Loki has only recently joined us at RDW and in such a short period of time he has managed to steal my heart! He has became such a confident and popular member of our Wednesday frenchie walk. Loki’s recall is phenomenal! He has so much love and affection to give, and he plays so beautifully with others. Every photo you capture of Loki makes you smile. He is so animated in his expressions and you’re always sure to catch him rolling around with his best frenchie pal, or leaping through the air with that look of surprise in his eyes! Loki is a joy to take out and I’m sure all his Wednesday buddies would agree!
Chloe2’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Peggy. She has been growing in confidence every week in her puppy socialising sessions. She is always so excited when I pick her up and is now getting really stuck in and making loads of friends! Keep up the good work Pegs, it’s lovely to walk you.
Chloe’s Wonderpup

Ollie is my valentine Wonderpup. Recently, poor Ollie and his family have had a tough time loosing his best fur friend. I am so proud of how he has behaved both on his walks and dealt with the massive change in his home situation. He shows up every week with his addictive personality, positive attitude and love for life! We should all be a bit more like our boy Ol. Well done darling boy, forever making everyone laugh.
