We had another great and busy week out dog walking. We welcomed back some more familiar faces; Millie and George. As well as some newbies in Boris and Minnie, welcome to the family!

Unfortunately, we had some sad news this week as Keira, who was the reason Redditch Dog Walking began, took her trip over rainbow bridge. You can see Jess’s post on Facebook here. It’s been a heartbreaking few days, but her legacy will live on in the work we do every day!

On Friday, we also took part in a very wet litter pick! We collected bags of rubbish from around Ispley Meadows and we’ll be doing it again in another part of Redditch soon. Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook to see when.

Now, let’s get on to this week’s Wonderpups!

Anna’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Fudge. Fudge has been with me from the very beginning and is always extremely happy to see me and his friends. He’s a great travel companion and loves to drive shotgun. His tail hardly ever stops wagging and he loves playing fetch and chase. Fudge is a real water baby and once he gets in, he could stay and swim for hours. As a typical Jack Russell he likes to show everyone who the real boss is but last week he showed me his gentle and very playful side. He was great with all the dogs, and was playing nicely with everyone…even puppy Joey, who can be a bit too much sometimes!

Jess’s Wonderpup

Charlie is my Wonderpup this week, he was an absolute superstar on his walk, his recall was fabulous and he made a new BFF in Finn, they both raced around and played so nicely together! Very impressed with him this week, well done baby boy!

Tracey’s Wonderpup

Alfie is my Wonderpup of the week. He is our oldest boy and such a sweetie He’s no longer able to join us on our group walks, but I take him for a short walk when I take his sisters home. He bimbles along and then does a little face plant on the track, picks himself up, dusts himself down and off we go again. Alfie, you are such a sweetheart except for when you decide to throw yourself into a swamp! And thank you coming to help us with the litter picking, you are a trooper.

Elli’s Wonderpup

Bonnie is my Wonderpup this week. I only started walking Bonnie after lockdown and she was initially quite timid to get back to it. After just a few weeks, Bonnie has come out of her shell and is loving bounding around with her new friends. She never forgets to come and give me a cuddle and kiss though. She really shone this week, and I’m so pleased she enjoys coming out with me as much as I do walking her!

Chloe’s Wonderpup

Rudi is my Wonderpup this week. I have only recently started walking him but he has trusted me quickly and has become the most playful boy. He always manages to get other dogs to play and swim. It’s impossible not to smile when Rudi gives you a waggy tailed welcome! His manners are impeccable and walking him is a pleasure
