What a great week it’s been! Despite a suicidal muntjac running straight through two packs of dogs, a car breaking down and some dramatic falls… But that’s just a normal week for the RDW team!
We’ve been enjoying not having to stomp and walk as hard as we were during February, and the babies have all been on their best behaviour. Head over to our Instagram or Facebook for daily pics.
This week’s Wonderpups are here…
Elli’s Wonderpup

I just HAD to pick Hugo this week. This boy has only been with the family for a couple of weeks but has already made such a huge impression. I had him on day care twice this week and he was an absolute star. I never have to worry about who is in Hugo’s group as he gets on with everyone and always finds someone to play with. He travels so well and his recall is coming along perfectly. You’re such a good boy Hugo and I love walking you!
Tracey’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup is Chunk. I’ve walked Chunk since he and his brothers started with RDW two years ago. It has been wonderful to see how he has developed over that time. Chunk is such a happy boy, he adores his walks nearly as much as he adores his tennis ball. The ball isn’t for playing with, just for carrying, like a comfort blanket. Chunk is appropriately named, but don’t let the size fool you, he has a turn of speed on him when he sees water, like a little hippo. Chunky you hold a special place in my heart as we started our journey with RDW together, I still remember arriving to collect you, wondering how I was ever going to lift you into the car. But with a bit of huffing and puffing from both of us we managed!
Chloe2’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Rocky! I love a pup with energy and Rocky has this in leaps and bounds (literally!) He is always running around, leaping in the air, jumping over the other puppies and generally loving life. Rocky looks at me with the cutest face to check in and make sure it’s OK that he’s playing nicely. Good boy Rocky, keep it up!
Soph’s Wonderpup

Roxy, you are this week’s Wonderpup! Raring to go, Roxy always gives the best welcomes! This girly has a very sweet soul and loves lots of cuddles but, out on the playground her competitive nature comes out and she loves a good game of chase with her bestie Hugo Cockerpoo. The last few weeks I have seen a real change in Rox. With all the excitement Roxy loves being with her friends and does her best to ignore me calling ‘it’s time to go home’ however, her recall is improving week by week. I’m really proud of her!
Chloe’s Wonderpup

Narla is my Wonderpup of the week. Narla gives me the biggest and best welcome, she’s always super excited and has amazing contagious energy. Since coming to RDW, she got a good grasp of recall quite quickly however she is a hunting breed and as with all dogs, when faced with certain situations we can be unsure how they will react. This week when walking we have come in very close proximity with deers (definitely easy reaching distance). Both separate walks when this has happened, Narla has spotted them and fought her natural instincts to come back, sat and waited by my side until told she can go and play again. I couldn’t be prouder of this girl. Well done Narla!
Jess’s Wonderpup

Minnie is my Wonderpup this week. Sometimes I watch her and I cannot believe how far she has come with she socialising, from the nervous little baby that started to the playful, race around with anyone little girl she is today! Her recall is perfect and she is always excited to come and play. Her brother Micky is off for a few weeks with a poorly shoulder (we miss you Mick) but she is still so confident with or without him! My little dream girl.
Anna’s Wonderpup

Ruby is my Wonderpup this week. She’s such an energetic, playful, happy and friendly girl and I love the way she always makes everyone around her have the best time. She loves to play with everyone and has a unique ability to make all the other dogs to join her, run around, chase and enjoy the walk to the fullest. Looking at happy photos of Ruby always put smile on my face and assure me I have the best work in the world. Lovely to have you with us baby girl.
Adam’s Wonderpup

This week I have chosen Toby. He has been out with me every day for the last couple of weeks and most days he is with different dogs to the last, and as I like to mix up the walks, different places as well. He has got along great with everyone he’s been with and is always wearing a big smile on his face. Keep it up Tobes.
Ashleigh’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup is Roscoe. Roscoe is such an amazing pup! He’s brings me so much joy watching him grow in confidence each walk. His recall is fantastic and he plays beautifully with any age dog. From his puppy walks moving into big boy walks, he has excelled in both. Roscoe is loved by everyone and I can’t help but smile every time I see him, as he really is such a big character. He has mastered coming out in the cold now and looks forward to playing with his friends. Me and the pooches love you boy!
