Louise as chosen Milo

My most improved wonder pup of the year is Milo. The first time I met Milo he was very cautious of humans and other dogs. He had to be coaxed away from home and tended to mooch around on the field on his own. Just a few months later and he really is enjoying his walks! He happily comes away from home and into the van and he plays with the other dogs so much, running around and having fun. He is very well loved by us all ! Well done Milo we can’t wait for more fun in 2023

Gemma has chosen Frankie

Well done to Frankie who Gemma chose to be most improved of the year Frankie is a rescue dog who sadly got miss treated & she very much lacked confidence around people!! Over the months Frankie has become this lovely little thing who now craves for affection when Gemma arrives for their popins it’s amazing to see her happy & comfortable around people she can trust

Sally Anne has chosen Dolly

Dolly is my most improved pup of the year! Dolly has only just recently started with the RDW gang but has progressed so well week on week. When we first started taking Dolly out she was a little nervous but her confidence has grown so much now! She is just a dot but sure does make up for it in personality. You can count on Dolly to rally up the troops for a big game of chase and she loves all dogs big and small. You have been a delight to watch over these past weeks growing into such a sweet natured girl

Adam has chosen Bobby

My most improved wonderpup this year is Bobby. Not that Bobby needed to improve in any way, it’s purely for the fact he came to my group as a baby so I’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow throughout this year. Bobby is the sweetest dog you could wish to meet and just loves to run and play. I’ve watched as his confidence has grown week by week and seen as he has made friends and integrated with the different dogs I have walked him with. Picking him for this has also given me the pleasure of looking back through this year’s photo and seeing him growing from little Bobby into the half sized race horse he is today Thank you for a brilliant year of walks Bobby, looking forward to 2023 already

Tracey has chosen Harvey

My most improved wonderpup of the year has to be the very handsome Harvey
Harvey is a Romanian rescue who has come on leaps and bounds
Harvey was very nervous of new situations when I first started walking him, even when I used to pick him up he would run to his crate and hide
After some gentle coaxing and treats I would win him round, but now he hears the Pawty bus pull up and as soon as I get out I can hear him squealing with excitement
Harvey up until recently was always walked at our field, but because I started to notice a big improvement in his recall we have now started walking elsewhere and he hasn’t let me down,
his recall is so good and he even comes and checks in with me for cwtches when out on walks
Harvey you have been an absolute superstar and a great role model for your sister Flora

Shannon has chosen Lolly

My most improved is Lolly! When I first started walking Lolly she was super nervous of other dogs, and just wanted to stay close for a cuddle. After a few weeks of trying Lolly in new groups we found the perfect match. Our princess now is super confident, and has amazing recall! She loves coming out with all her sausage friends zooming and playing round with them. It is amazing to see her so happy each week and really enjoying her walks. Even if that means I get less cuddles. Well done Lolly!

Chloe has chosen Nala

The beautiful Nala is my most improved wonderpup of the year, she is so deserving of this title. This fabulous girl is completely unrecognisable and has come so far from the apprehensive dog that arrived at Redditch dog walking. I spent a long time introducing Nala to very calming dogs and slowly building her up. It took patience, consistency and hard work from both her and us however, she has turned a corner. Nala now goes completely off lead with any dogs and actively seeks them out to play. She is so obedient, confident and comfortable it makes my heart burst! Being able to help Nala encompasses everything amazing about working with dogs. Of course, none of this would’ve been possible without Nala’s trusting owner, the help of the team and our other lovely pooches ! I’m so proud of you girlie

Sarah has chosen Daphne

My most improved wonderpup of the year is Daphne! When I first met Daphne, almost a year ago, she was a nervous little puppy who struggled with her social skills and was easily overwhelmed. She was introduced slowly into group walks and we began to build up some trust. Daphne gradually began to gain more confidence and even after a few minor setbacks she continued improve and get braver and braver and will now happily play with the other dogs! Daphne is still only a baby and has so much more to learn, but it’s amazing to see how far she has come and how happy she is to see me when I come to collect her. Daphne has the sweetest little personality – she is very affectionate and we have built a lovely bond over the last year. I am very lucky to have such a good girl out with me every week and no doubt 2023 will bring more adventures! Well done Daphne!

Emma has chosen Mac

My most improved wonderpup for this year is Mac! When I first started walking Mac, I could see lots of potential in this young boy, but he was overrun by testosterone and was very rough and ready with the dogs in his group and wasn’t understanding dogs body language and their play queues! He wanted to play, but didn’t quite know how to play, appropriately! Fast forward to now and he has really transformed, all that potential I first seen has come out to shine! His parents got him chemically castration which helped with his testosterone levels in line with this it has ultimately helped him become a social butterfly in any group and play so nicely! I am really proud of Mac he has really grown up this year and I love to watch him play like such a good boy

Sophie has chosen Beau

Drum roll please…give it up for Beau, Soph’s ‘most improved’ Wonderpup of 2022!
My gorgeous Beau! This lush boy has totally stolen my heart this year! Beau Joined the RDW family and due to being unneutered, was over friendly with some of the other dogs. His fixation was obsessive and many walks would result in time on lead so Beau could calm down. Fast forward to now, Beau has been neutered and he’s shown me who he really is underneath the over excitement, and what a wonderful boy he is! Beau can now really enjoy his walks and boy does he love playing and chasing with the other dogs and without any other motive.
Beau when he first came to us didn’t have any recall but over time he’s learning his name and finally responding to me, I couldn’t be more proud! Best feeling!
Finally, Beau more recently checks in with me and comes for snuggles…he just melts me! As a walker, the dogs you walk really do become your family, you care for them like you do your own dog…I’m so glad Beau is part of my pack!

Anna has chosen Dolly

Every year at this time each member of our team is facing a big and very hard choice. Out of all the wonderful dogs we walk we are choosing one that in our eyes made the biggest improvement over the past months. It wasn’t an easy decision. I chose Dolly as my most improved fur friend this year. Originally Dolly, and another 2 lovely dogs from the same family joined RDW to have some fun with us while their owners were on holiday. Dolly’s owners Laura and Mervyn were so happy to see her having fun and decided to stay with us at the beginning Dolly was a little bit shy, both with us and other dogs. When I was collecting her she used to glue herself to her mum’s lap and wasn’t too keen on leaving the house. With each walk she started to open up to us more and more and after a while she was welcoming me by the front door excited and ready for her walk. She is absolutely fantastic with all the dogs, loves to play with everyone. Her recall improved hugely, to the point I could easily walk her in public/and new to her places, and she never left my side for too long. I’m extremely proud of this gorgeous girl and hope she will keep doing an amazing job next year

Becky has chosen Ralphie

Ralphie is my most Improved wonderpup. When I first went to meet Ralphie, he was very nervous and didn’t like to leave his mum and dad. He is a rescue and did have a great start in life. I spent time with him at his home, which is where we bonded and where we went on a few individual walks. After a few weeks we attempted to leave the house by car, which Ralphie did so well. We then went to group walks and we have t looked back since. Ralphie’s confidence has grown so much and now has the time of his life on his walks, he plays so well with others and doesn’t look back. Well done Ralphie boy. You are amazing and I love you so much

Jess has chosen Beau

Beau is my most improved wonderpup of the year this year! Beau is a special boy to me as he is one of our RDW rehomes when he started he had little socialising and we had to start him in a group of non reactive dogs to build his confidence and trust in other dogs. This year he has grown and grown with his trust in other dogs he has lots of new friends although his best friends are Klaus, Barkley and Minnie and they keep him on his toes racing around for his whole walk! Over the last few months I have introduced Beau to more and more dogs and he has always been on his best behaviour welcoming the new dogs with playful bows! I am so proud of how far he has come this year and can’t wait to see what next year brings! Well done baby boy

Ashleigh has chosen Missy

My most improved wonderpup goes to the Notorious P-I-G herself missy.
Missy’s story is one of improvement and triumph from the very start. She was adopted by her beautiful mommy and daddy from a background of mistreatment, and used to be so nervous and reactive to other dogs. Missy improves every single day in her relationship with others and on her walks these days you would never suspect she’d ever had any issues. She is wonderful with her fellow poochies and plays and chases with them now. Missy has also overcome this year a slipped disk without surgery! She is a little warrior through and through and I am so proud of her! She overcomes every obstacle in her way! Well done beautiful girl

Tanya has chosen Nala

This beautiful little pup earnt herself the nickname of Naughty Nala. She came in like a wrecking ball that didn’t know the boundaries of play. However, over time and giving her guidance she learnt to listen and know how to play nicely. Super proud you you my little naughty Nala. Can’t wait to see you in the knew year. Good girly xxx

We have so much confidence with Ellis taking our boy out daily and are so grateful for how much she cares for him like we do!  We have had one on one training with Jess which was invaluable with our dog being reactive on lead.  We didn’t feel belittled at all and had the most useful information and help that we use daily.  I recommend Redditch dog walking to anyone with a dog because they really are brilliant!
