Firstly we would like to start by wishing you and your fur babies a happy and healthy New Year! We hope that you were able to enjoy Christmas as much as possible whilst staying ‘Covid safe’!
We have spent lots of time following the recent announcement going through government legislation. After speaking with our insurance company, we’re very happy to let you know that we will be continuing to walk through this lockdown as normal! If anything changes, we will let you know.
How we will be working Covid Safe –
Of course we still have all our Covid safe measures in place, just to reiterate those;
💥 Where clients may be at home we are collecting the dogs from a safe, secure outdoor area. This could be a garden or porch to ensure we have no contact with owners currently (as much as we love you all)
💥 When collecting dogs from empty homes we are wearing our masks and sanitising door handles.
💥 Travelling crates are disinfected throughout the day.
💥 Dogs are washed off before being dropped home (pretty standard practise anyway with all the mud at the moment).
💥 The team are not walking dogs who are in a home with a suspected/confirmed covid case and will only return to walking them after the household isolation period is over.
💥 We are using our own leads and disinfecting owners leads upon return if they are attached during the handover.
Thank you as always to our clients who are supporting us through this difficult period. We love you nearly as much as we love the dogs… okay not nearly as much but you know. If you have any questions or queries, please do speak to one of the team.
Training and group sessions
Sadly, we are still not able to start our training groups or 1:1 session.
We are missing our training babies and 1:1 clients very much and can’t wait to be reunited with you all when it is safe to do so.
Please take this time whilst things are closed and life is a little slower to work with your dogs and puppies, continue your training that you started in class. rewatch the training videos on Facebook to jog your memory, listen to the talks Jess did to understand your dogs and their mannerisms.
This time is a blessing for your fur babies, who will love having you home more than ever. So take the time off your phones and give them 15/20 minutes training/attention every day.
For those working with reactive dogs remember not too put to much pressure on them, start slowly and build them up, click and reward for calmer interactions, click and reward once they are calm and their reaction is over.
DO NOT put them in any situation that will blow their mind or overwhelm them! For training videos, please check out our facebook page.
We are still here for you all as always, to answer questions or steer you back on the right path again! If you need any help with anything, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Hopefully we will see you all very soon.
