It’s 2021! We’ve had a crazy week weather wise, we’ve walked in the snow, mud, sun and intense frost, bbbbrrrrr. The dogs have all been great this week. None of them care about the temperature, and they have certainly managed to keep us smiling when our toes have frosted over!

Tracey’s Wonderpup

To kick off the New Year my Wonderpup is Jack-Jack. Jack-Jack is a rescue who came to his furever family scared of his own shadow. Jess did a 1:2:1 session with him, and then he and his mum came out on a few walks with me for some socialisation. He was so scared on his first couple of walks he tried to run back to the car. Little by little, on properly controlled walks, it wasn’t long before J-J was interacting with some of the dogs and starting to realise that the big world wasn’t so frightening after all!
For the last couple of months, he has been coming out with me, without his mum. I have been introducing him slowly to new dogs and his confidence is growing on every walk. He is so happy to go to the car, as he knows his buddies will be in there waiting to greet him with open paws. His recall is very good and recently he has been walked on a dropped longline. Jack-Jack you are a sweet little boy and I’ve been so proud of you over the last few weeks, but especially this week. Keep up the good work and remember the world isn’t such a big scary place.
Jess’s Wonderpup

Lola is my Wonderpup this week! She was such a little superstar on her walks and left me and Elli so happy, we were constantly saying “oh my god look at her”. Lola is a typical spaniel and can easily get distracted with smells in the bushes, but this week her recall was absolutely perfect, she came back every time, straight away and made me so proud! Way to go baby girl! Keep it up.
Elli’s Wonderpup

It was my first time walking little Barney this week and I knew he was still a young pup and was a little worried about overwhelming him with lots of new dogs. I needn’t have been scared at all! We met up with Chloe’s morning walk and Barney fitted in straight away. He was bouncing around with all the others and made friends with everyone. I was really impressed with his recall too, for such a young boy, Barney has great manners and is super respectful to everyone. Can’t wait to walk you again, little one.
Anna’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Lottie. Lottie is a very young, happy and full of energy girl that loves her play dates with friends. She’s extremely brave for her age and makes friends with everyone regardless of their size. She loves to explore the surroundings and chase around the fields. It’s lovely to have a you on my team, Lottie.
Sophie’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is gorgeous George! George is just the happiest soul and I love how much he loves his walks with his friends. He likes to potter about, sussing out all the new smells but doesn’t venture too far (usually) as he can’t miss out on razzing around with his buddies. I speak for me and of course the the other fur babies when I say Thursday sessions wouldn’t be the same with out you! We love you Georgie!
Adam’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup for the week is Apollo. Apollo had his first walk with us this week, which can take a bit of adjusting for some dogs. Apollo was raring to go though, jumped straight in the car, travelled perfectly with Harley and Lupin and, on the walk, his recall was perfect and he looked so happy. He is such a friendly cuddly bear of a dog, an absolute pleasure to walk.
Chloe’s Wonderpup

I have picked Barry as my Wonderpup this week. I have really enjoyed watching Barry play so much with other dogs this week, especially with his new found bestie, Arlo. He has made me laugh bouncing around this week, cheered me up and got me through some pretty chilly days. Barry’s recall is consistently great but this week he has showed his playful side too. It’s great to see you playing so nicely Baz, keep it up !
Ashleigh’s Wonderpup

My Wonderpup this week is Percy. Percy loves his walkies! He’s always so excited when I collect him and he’s become such a big personality on our walks. Percy is always reliable and walks happily off his lead. His recall is excellent and he never wanders off too far. Percy gets on so well with all dogs, and I can trust him to show any new dogs the ropes – he is an excellent role model! Keep it up Perc!
Chloe2’s Wonderpup

Darling is my Wonderpup this week. She came out with me on a small group walk and slotted in so well with the other dogs. Her and her new bestie Maggie were zooming around together absolutely loving life. I can’t wait to walk you again Darling, you darling!
